Code of Conduct
This Code applies to every user of the Manch platform — claimants, respondents, advocates, arbitrators, mediators, case officers, and observers. By signing in you agree to abide by it.
1. Respectful conduct
Abusive, threatening, defamatory, or harassing language toward any participant — including the tribunal, counterparties, or platform staff — is prohibited. Disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not.
2. Confidentiality
Arbitral proceedings are confidential. Pleadings, evidence, deliberations, draft awards, and platform messages may not be shared, recorded, screenshotted, or republished outside the proceedings, except as expressly required by law — including Section 34 challenges and Section 36 enforcement under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
3. No impersonation
You may not represent yourself as another person, advocate, or institution. Counsel must hold a valid Vakalatnama or written authorisation for the party they represent and must produce it on the tribunal's direction.
4. Truthfulness
All submissions, statements, and evidence uploaded must be truthful to the best of your knowledge. False statements may be referred to the appropriate authority and will be considered by the tribunal in the conduct of the proceedings.
5. Cooperation with proceedings
Parties must respond to tribunal directions, attend scheduled hearings, and produce documents in accordance with procedural orders within the time prescribed. Reasonable adjournment requests should be made promptly, with notice to the other side.
6. No platform misuse
- Do not attempt to circumvent access controls or impersonate other users.
- Do not scrape, mirror, or republish platform data outside the proceedings.
- Do not attack, probe, or attempt to disrupt the service. Responsible disclosure of security issues is welcomed at info@manch.live.
- Do not use the platform for purposes unrelated to the proceedings.
7. Consequences of breach
Breach of this Code may result in any combination of the following:
- Tribunal-level cost orders or adverse inferences.
- Account suspension or permanent termination.
- Referral to the Bar Council, regulator, or other authority of competent jurisdiction.
- Civil or criminal proceedings, where warranted.
8. Reporting
To report a breach, contact the Grievance Officer at zoie@manch.live. Please include the case reference, the conduct complained of, and any supporting material.
